SMS Messaging Program

Just Plain Yoga offers an optional text messaging service through our booking and client management platform, Recess.

By voluntarily opting in to receive text messages, you agree to the terms described below.

Types of Messages

We offer two types of SMS communications:

Booking and Account Notifications

These may include:

Class booking confirmations
Class reminders
Schedule changes or cancellations
Account updates
Payment notifications, including failed-payment notices

Promotional Messages

Clients who separately consent to promotional messaging may receive occasional announcements about:

Classes and workshops
Memberships and special offers
Studio events and programs

Consent to booking-related messages does not automatically constitute consent to promotional messages.

How to Opt In

When creating an account through our Recess booking platform, clients may be offered two separate, optional SMS consent checkboxes: one for booking-related notifications and one for promotional messages.

Both options are unchecked by default. You may choose either, both, or neither.

Providing a mobile number does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive promotional text messages.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies depending on class bookings, account activity, and communication preferences.

Estimated frequency: approximately 2–20 messages per month.

Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier and service plan.

Opting Out

You may withdraw your SMS consent at any time:

Reply STOP to unsubscribe from all text messages.
Reply STOPMKT to unsubscribe from promotional messages only.
Reply HELP for assistance.

After opting out, you may receive a final confirmation message.

Privacy and Mobile Information

We respect your privacy.

No mobile information or messaging consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in and consent information with third parties for their own marketing.

Mobile information may be processed by authorized messaging service providers solely to administer and deliver our SMS program.

Service Availability

SMS delivery is subject to wireless carrier availability and network conditions. Just Plain Yoga cannot guarantee delivery or timing of every message.

You remain responsible for managing your class reservations and cancellations in accordance with our Studio Policies, even if an SMS notification is delayed or not received.
